Two ingredients. Nothing else. Bio-active New Zealand deer velvet and green-lipped mussel in a single daily tablet — for joint comfort, mobility and everyday vitality. No fillers, no synthetic glucosamine, no artificial flavouring.

Imperial Pet Co. Canine Super Supplement is a whole-food joint supplement made in New Zealand from just two ingredients: bio-active deer velvet and green-lipped mussel. Rather than isolating a single compound, it delivers naturally occurring glucosamine, chondroitin, collagen, amino acids and marine omega fatty acids in the forms they appear in nature.

Deer velvet contains over 390 naturally occurring active compounds and is one of the very few renewable whole-food sources of both glucosamine and chondroitin. Imperial's velvet goes through a patented bio-active fermentation process that alters the molecular structure for better absorption. Green-lipped mussel adds omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids including EPA and DHA, which help support joint lubrication, cartilage maintenance and a healthy inflammatory response.

💡 New to deer velvet? Our guide covers what deer velvet actually is, what's in it, and what the research shows — including an honest look at the evidence and how it's sourced.

Most dogs eat the tablets straight from the hand — the green-lipped mussel gives them a strong marine smell that dogs tend to love, so there is usually no need to hide them in food.

💡 Slippery tiled and vinyl flooring is one of the most common joint stressors in Singapore homes. Pairing daily joint support with non-slip runners along your dog's usual routes — and lifting smaller or senior dogs in and out of the car rather than letting them jump — makes a meaningful difference over time.

Feeding Guide
Body weight Daily serving
Up to 10kg 1 tablet
11–21kg 2 tablets
Over 21kg 3 tablets

Feed daily, with or before meals. Most dogs take the tablets readily as a treat — they can also be crushed and mixed into food if preferred.

  • Dogs 5kg and under: trial at half a tablet daily, increasing to a full tablet if needed.
  • Loading period: for dogs with existing joint concerns, an additional tablet daily for the first 2–3 weeks may help results show sooner, before settling to the maintenance serving above.
⚠️ Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Singapore's humidity can soften tablets over time — keep the bottle tightly sealed with the desiccant sachet inside, and avoid decanting into open containers.
Suitability
  • Senior dogs showing age-related stiffness, slower rising or reluctance on stairs
  • Large and giant breeds carrying more load through the joints
  • Dogs with hip dysplasia, arthritis or other diagnosed joint conditions, alongside veterinary care
  • Active and sporting dogs, and dogs recovering from injury or surgery
  • Younger dogs of predisposed breeds, as a preventative daily routine
⚠️ Contains shellfish. Dogs with a known shellfish sensitivity should start with a smaller serving or consult your veterinarian first. This product is a nutritional supplement and is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment — if your dog is limping, in pain or has had a sudden change in mobility, please see your vet.
Frequently Asked Questions

What is deer velvet, and is it harmful to the deer?
Deer velvet is the soft, richly vascularised tissue that covers a deer's antlers during their annual growth phase. Deer are the only mammals that repeatedly regrow an appendage, which means velvet can be harvested each season from the same animal and grows back. In New Zealand, velvet removal is regulated under a national code of welfare and carried out under veterinary supervision with local anaesthesia. We cover this in more detail in What Is Deer Velvet for Dogs?

How is this different from a synthetic glucosamine supplement?
The glucosamine and chondroitin here occur naturally within the deer velvet rather than being manufactured and added in. They arrive alongside the collagen, amino acids, minerals and growth factors that occur naturally in the same tissue.

How long before I see a difference?
This varies with the dog, their age and the nature of the concern. Many owners report changes within the first two to four weeks of consistent daily feeding, while others take longer. Joint supplements work cumulatively, so consistency matters more than dose size.

Will my dog actually eat it?
Usually, yes. The tablets carry a strong green-lipped mussel smell that most dogs find appealing, and the majority take them like a treat. If yours is fussy, crush the tablet and stir it through a meal.

Can I give this alongside other supplements or medication?
It can generally be fed alongside other daily supplements. If your dog is on anti-inflammatory or other prescribed medication, check with your veterinarian first.

Is it suitable for puppies?
It can be given to growing dogs, and is sometimes used early in breeds predisposed to hip and elbow issues. Follow the weight-based serving guide and speak to your vet if you are unsure.

Is it suitable for cats?
The Super Supplement is formulated for dogs. Please consult your veterinarian before giving it to a cat.

How long will one bottle last?
Each bottle contains 90 tablets. For a 10kg dog on one tablet daily that is roughly three months; for a 25kg dog on three tablets daily, roughly one month.

Does it need to be refrigerated?
No. Store the sealed bottle in a cool, dry cupboard away from direct sunlight and humidity.
