NOMAD is Lambwolf's ultra-light long line — freedom to explore, rolled up small enough to fit in your palm. It's made with a custom 1 cm wide soft vinyl-coated webbing that's extremely lightweight yet durable, with a layer of tightly woven webbing inside and a short front tab for a good grip and easy control.
The waterproof coating gives the line a smooth, pliable "flow" through grass, sand and wet ground, and it wipes clean with a damp towel — no soggy, smelly webbing after a rainy-day recall session. Lambwolf built NOMAD with a different material from their regular leashes on purpose: the same webbing at long-line length would be bulky, and NOMAD is designed to disappear into a jacket pocket or small fanny pack.
At the clip end, a 360° rotatable, auto-locking aviation aluminium carabiner (7 cm) keeps the connection secure and tangle-free, with rust-resistant hardware and double stitching at both ends.

Lengths & weights
| Length | Weight | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 3.6 m (12 ft) | 110 g | Sniffy walks & loose-lead freedom in tighter spaces |
| 6 m (20 ft) | 155 g | Recall training & park exploration — the versatile middle |
| 9 m (30 ft) | 205 g | Long-distance recall work in big open fields |
For reference, even the 9 m line weighs about as much as a small apple — light enough that most dogs barely notice it trailing.
Care instructions
The waterproof coating never retains moisture, so cleaning is simple: wipe down with a wet towel after muddy or sandy outings, and it's ready for the next adventure. No machine washing or soaking needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a long line for?
A long line gives your dog room to sniff, explore and practise recall while you keep a physical connection — the middle ground between a standard leash and off-lead freedom. It's a favourite tool for recall training and decompression walks.
Which length should I choose?
3.6 m for more freedom on regular walks, 6 m as the versatile all-rounder for parks and recall practice, and 9 m for serious distance work in open spaces. If unsure, 6 m is the most popular starting point.
Can I use it as a tie-out?
No — NOMAD is not designed for tie-downs, and knotting the line damages the material. It's built to be light in hand, not to anchor a dog.
Is it suitable for strong chewers?
The line is not chew- or cut-resistant — keep an eye on dogs who like to mouth their leash, especially while it's trailing.
Can I make it hands-free?
Yes — connect Lambwolf's REI Wide leash to NOMAD to create a flexible hands-free long line kit. Note that only the REI Wide is compatible with NOMAD.
Will it get smelly after wet grass or beach trips?
No — the coating is 100% waterproof and odour-proof, so it never absorbs moisture or smells. A quick wipe-down and it's fresh again, even in Singapore's humidity.
