The Pawzler Maya is a compact but clever Level 3 Pawzle that introduces two different opening mechanisms in a single piece. Unlike simpler Pawzles where every compartment opens the same way, Maya challenges dogs to use two different techniques — lifting a lid for the first compartment, and opening a sliding drawer for the second.

This dual-mechanism design encourages dogs to explore, adapt and problem-solve during each enrichment session rather than relying on a single learned movement. The drawer can be particularly challenging for dogs new to it, making Maya a great stepping stone toward more advanced Pawzles like Bunny and Louvre.

Maya clips into any Pawzler Base and takes up 2 spots. Rotating it in different directions on the Base changes the difficulty — a simple way to keep enrichment sessions fresh without needing new pieces.

  • Clip Maya into your Pawzler Base — press down until you hear a click
  • Fill both compartments with treats, kibble, raw food or spreadable snacks
  • Let your dog use their nose, tongue or paw to lift the lid and open the drawer
  • Rotate Maya in different directions on the Base to adjust the difficulty
  • Combine with other Pawzles to create new puzzle configurations each session
💡 Tip: Rotating Maya changes the orientation of both the lid and the drawer, making each mechanism subtly harder or easier to access depending on your dog's natural approach.
