Feeding Guide

Storage:

- Thaw overnight in the refrigerator, not at room temperature

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my pet get diarrhoea when transitioning to Organic Paws?
It is unlikely. Some pets may actually experience slightly firmer stools for a day or two, especially if they have previously been on a highly processed diet. Some pets may also experience a slight shedding as the body begins to detox. Any minor transition concerns will quickly be forgotten when you notice your pet's health suddenly thriving.
Is raw feeding safe?
Yes — when done correctly. The key is to choose complete and balanced raw meals from trusted sources. Organic Paws is professionally formulated to take the guesswork out of raw feeding.
Why are pet owners switching to raw feeding?
Common reasons include smaller and firmer stools, healthier skin and a naturally shinier coat, increased energy and vitality, and highly palatable meals that suit even picky eaters.
Why does certified organic food cost more?
Certified organic food must meet stricter regulations governing growing, harvesting, processing, transportation, storage, and packaging. Production is more labour-intensive and happens on a smaller scale. The ACO certification ensures the food is independently verified to be completely safe and chemical-free.
How long will Organic Paws last in the refrigerator once defrosted?
Once defrosted, portions will last approximately 3–4 days stored in the fridge. There may be minor discolouration due to air exposure and the absence of preservatives — this is completely normal. Cats generally prefer fresher food, so feeding within 1–2 days of defrosting is recommended for them.
Do I need to add vegetables to Organic Paws meals?
No — dogs have a short intestinal tract and cannot efficiently process vegetable fibre. Organic Paws recipes include green tripe, which is the stomach lining of ruminant animals and provides a biologically appropriate source of plant nutrition for dogs. Our Powerhouse Goat & Lamb with Leafy Greens is the only recipe that includes vegetables, which are highly pureed to break the cellular wall for maximum absorption.

Yes — Organic Paws follows a BARF-style (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) approach to raw feeding.
Why is protein rotation beneficial for dogs?
Rotating between different proteins provides a wider variety of naturally occurring nutrients, amino acids, and fats over time. Different proteins offer different nutritional benefits — for example, beef is rich in iron and zinc, kangaroo is naturally lean, and oily fish provides omega-3 fatty acids. For pets with sensitivities, slower and gradual rotation may be preferred.
