Why Choose Raw Feeding?
Dogs and cats are carnivores. Raw feeding provides a biologically appropriate diet that closely mirrors what dogs and cats are naturally designed to eat. By feeding fresh, minimally processed ingredients, your dog or cat receives nutrients in their most natural and bioavailable form.
Key Benefits of Raw Feeding:
Improved Digestion & Gut Health
Raw diets are easier for dogs and cats to digest, helping support a balanced gut microbiome, better nutrient absorption, and firmer stools.
Healthier Skin & Shinier Coat
Rich in natural omega fatty acids and essential nutrients, raw feeding supports skin health while promoting a soft, glossy coat.
Stronger Immunity
Fresh, whole ingredients help strengthen your pet’s immune system, supporting overall resilience and long-term health.
Increased Energy & Vitality
A nutrient-dense raw diet fuels your dog or cat with sustained energy, helping them stay active, alert, and thriving.
Better Dental Health
Natural chewing and raw textures can help reduce plaque build-up and support healthier teeth and gums.
A More Natural Way to Feed
Unlike heavily processed kibble, raw feeding avoids unnecessary fillers, artificial additives, and low-quality ingredients. Instead, it focuses on clean, species-appropriate nutrition using high-quality meats, organs, and bone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my pet get diarrhea when transitioning to an Organic Paws diet?
It is unlikely your pet will experience softer stools when transitioning to an Organic Paws diet, some pets may actually experience slightly firmer stools to what has previously been considered normal for a day or two, especially if they have previously been on a highly processed diet. Some pets may also experience a slight shedding. In effect, when switching your pet to an organic raw food diet his/her body will begin to detox all the toxic buildup from the previous heavily processed diet. Any minor transition concerns that may occur will be quickly forgotten when you notice your pets health suddenly thriving.
Is Raw Feeding Safe?
Yes—when done correctly.
The key is to choose complete and balanced raw meals from trusted sources. In Singapore, where sourcing and storage conditions matter, quality is everything.
This is why many pet parents opt for professionally formulated raw brands like Organic Paws, which take the guesswork out of raw feeding.
Why Pet Owners Are Switching to Raw Feeding?
- Smaller, firmer stools and improved digestion
- Healthier skin and a naturally shinier coat
- Increased energy and vitality
- Highly palatable — ideal for picky eaters
- Minimally processed, nutrient-dense meals
How long will Organic Paws meals last in the refrigerator once defrosted?
Once defrosted our portions will last approx. 3-4 days stored in the fridge, there may be some minor discolouration due to air exposure and no preservatives, however it will still be perfectly fine to feed your pet during this time.
Cats generally prefer their food very fresh so we recommend feeding them defrosting meals within 1-2 days.
Do I need to add vegetables to Organic Paws meals?
Dogs have a very short intestinal tract and they cannot efficiently process vegetable fibre, this is often shown in the stools of dogs that have recently eaten vegetables showing the vegetables appearing in the stool looking very similar to as when they were first eaten.
In the wild, a dog would consume very little plant matter in the diet, this natural source of plant/vegetable/fruit fibre would be consumed through the process of eating the intestines and stomach of their prey which has already been partially digested by the animal and in turn easily digested by a dog.
The stomach lining of these “ruminating” animals is also called “green tripe” which is an ingredient in all Organic Paws recipes. This source of plant fibre or “green tripe,” is a far more biologically appropriate way for your dog to receive vegetable nutrition and fibre.
Our Powerhouse Goat & Lamb w’ Leafy Greens is our only recipe where we offer vegetables in the form of a variety of fresh seasonal leafy greens. These greens are highly pureed down to break the cellular wall prior to being added to the recipe, to help our pets absorb the highest level of nutritional value possible.
Is Organic Paws BARF?
Yes — Organic Paws follows a BARF-style (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) approach to raw feeding.

Why is protein rotation beneficial for dogs?
Rotating between different proteins can help provide a wider variety of naturally occurring nutrients, amino acids and fats over time.
Different proteins offer different nutritional benefits — for example:
- Beef is naturally rich in iron and zinc
- Oily fish provides omega-3 fatty acids
- Lamb is nutrient-dense and highly palatable
- Kangaroo is naturally lean
- Turkey and chicken provide easily digestible protein
Many pet owners rotate proteins as part of a balanced fresh feeding approach to help support dietary variety, enrichment and overall wellbeing.
Organic Paws offers a range of single-protein and functional recipes, making rotational feeding simple and convenient.
For pets with sensitivities or sensitive digestion, slower transitions and gradual rotation may be preferred.
