Is there glucosamine in Hip & Joint?
Yes — both NEM® eggshell membrane and green-lipped mussels are naturally rich in glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), which provide naturally occurring glucosamine, chondroitin and hyaluronic acid. This is different from synthetic glucosamine isolates found in many joint supplements.
Why are green-lipped mussels better than synthetic glucosamine?
Green-lipped mussels provide naturally balanced levels of glucosamine, chondroitin and omega-3 fatty acids — including ETA, a unique omega-3 exclusive to GLM — all in their natural, bioavailable form. Synthetic glucosamine provides only the isolated compound without these additional joint-supporting fatty acids.
Is the curcumin synthetic?
No — the curcumin in Hip & Joint is carbon-14 tested to verify it is 100% plant-derived and free from synthetic additives and heavy metals. Most curcumin on the market is synthetic and may contain contaminants like lead.
